Biography

Syntax has been on an ever-accelerating rise since the start of her career in December 2021. Channelling the sounds of the underground, her versatile music selection has resonated across the UK. Her profound love for the raw sounds of hardcore and jungle from the early 90’s is reflected in her sets, while she cohesively blends them with newer jungle, hardcore and footwork productions coming out of the scene. Selection aside, Syntax’s technical skills on the mixer are something to behold, and can take a dance floor to another level.

Since starting, Syntax has been sought out by many promoters and has appeared along the likes of Sherelle, Tim Reaper, Coco Bryce, Dwarde, Sully, Samurai Breaks, Pete Cannon, Mixtress, 4am Kru, DJ Storm and more. Syntax is also a firm representative for Samurai Breaks’ own label Super Sonic Booty Bangers, having represented the collective at festivals such as Boomtown, Balter, Beat-Herder as well as nights in cities up and down the UK.

As well as DJ’ing Syntax is also producing her own music, with a release due to come out on label Motive Hunter. Her first tune to be released ‘Loving That You’re Hiving’, a collaboration with Arkyn, is a pure hardcore anthem with meaty piano riffs, hard kicks and chopped amens, which also incorporates the sound of early gabber.
